Life Is Easier If You Take It Easy.

I've learned something over the last year or so: when crisis hits and you think you might loose it, take the path of least resistance: take it easy. Life is easier if you take it easy. Yesterday, forced to shop all day if I was to get everything I needed for a job starting today, I rented a cargo van and hit the highway. The Bay Bridge was closed so instead of going to Ikea in Emeryville I went to East Palo Alto. And just when I had pushed my schedule to its limits, leaving me nary a second even to pee, I locked the cargo van keys in the cargo van. At another time in my life I might have gotten upset, pouted, maybe even cried at my bad luck. Instead, I took it easy and waited for the Roadrunner Road Service - who it turns out isn't called that for nothing. And in the end it wasn't that bad of luck after all. At this time in my life, whenever possible, I choose to take the path of least resistance. Life is easier if you take it easy.
